Trevor Brander is an accomplished leader in industrial automation, control systems, and operations management, with over 25 years of experience driving innovation and efficiency in manufacturing. He holds a Diploma in Industrial Electronics Technology from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University. Trevor is a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) and a Lean Sensei Green Belt, with additional certifications in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), change management (Prosci certified), and strategic leadership.
Trevor’s career has taken him across the globe, completing projects in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. He has also visited industrial facilities and attended trade shows in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, and Chile. This international experience has provided him with a unique perspective on global best practices in automation and manufacturing.
The first half of Trevor’s career was dedicated to mastering technical expertise in automation and control systems. In roles such as Controls Engineer at USNR and Regional Control System Specialist at Tolko Industries, he designed and commissioned advanced automated systems, implemented new controls projects from the ground up, and led teams to ensure optimal system performance. His technical proficiency spans PLC programming, SCADA systems, robotics, machine vision technologies, and industrial network design.
In the latter half of his career, Trevor transitioned into operations management and leadership roles focused on lean manufacturing, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and continuous improvement. At Tolko Industries, he held senior positions such as General Manager of Operational Services, Area Manager at Athabasca OSB, and Plant Manager at Meadow Lake OSB. In these roles, he managed large teams, oversaw plant P&L responsibilities, implemented long-term strategies for manufacturing facilities, and led initiatives to improve reliability across 12 Canadian plants.
Currently serving as CEO of Daemon Automation—a company specializing in AI-driven solutions for industrial automation—Trevor leverages his unique blend of technical expertise and operational leadership to deliver impactful solutions for clients worldwide. His ability to bridge physical operations with digital innovation ensures TwinSight3D’s customers achieve measurable improvements in performance optimization and risk mitigation.
